The People (excerpt)
"The people" --
it is a word I love
People!
Why do you believe
it is your fate
solely to still the storm of the heart
and be crushed beneath the stones of tyranny?
Why do you not
cast off your ancient chains?
Do not be silent!
You must not resign yourselves!
You must not grow weary!
In dancing waves of people,
for the sake of the people of the future
you must gain victory!
